So What's the Deal with the Camel??

taken from the Baron Wars program - author unknown
with Epilogue by Herr Konrad Mailander

The whole sordid episode took place one dark and overcast morn, when a young camel jockey of the Marche of the Marshes awoke to find his beloved fuzzy charge and sounding board, Ackbar, missing.
Following the not so subtle trail of tracks in the wet ground (wet ground in Red Spears?? never!) which disappeared at the edge of the great muddy Maumee river.
Seeing what this must mean, the Marche rallied around their fuzzy haired camel peddler and confronted their good cousins to the north, Hrothgar's Fjord.  The Fjordians made vile and heinous declarations of innocence and gave a stern lecture about leaving camels unattended.  The thing came neigh near a horrible conflict, when it was discovered that it was all a nefarious Pentemerian plot!
It would seem that a certain Baron of Roaring Waste was heard to boast of their Barony's new "misshapen cow."  This odd creature was said to be quite tasty when served a patte.
Hence Good Baron Taylor has cried outrage and hanky-panky of a very naughty order & and mustered the full mass of the teeming Barony of Red Spears Land Army.  Incenced at the utter weirdness of it all, much of the Oaken Army has mobilized to defend their borders from the Pentemerian hordes.

Will justice prevail? Will anybody ever learn tie their camel up at night?  Will the waters of the Maumee swim with Revenge?  Will the fort float away?? We shall see...

Epilogue

Two grand Armies met on the field outside the fort.  The Oaken Army was slowly driven back to the gate.  There many Wasters fell to Oaken archers, before their forces were overwhelmed.  Finally the two Barons met on the field inside the fort.  Baron Niall defeated Baron Taylor in close fought single combat.

Just then a scout returned with shocking news.  The whole thing had been an Eastern plot to sow division within the Midrealm.  Taylor and Niall swore to unite against the Eastern Tiger as friends and allies, should anything happen, say in August....just maybe.

Not wanting to waste a perfectly good battlefield the Armies fought out a few more battles till all had had their fill of fighting in the Fort.

But wait there's more...
