New to Red Spears?

Info for SCA people coming in from out of Barony...

If you are new to the SCA in general, look for more information here.

The Barony of Red Spears is primarily a holding Barony for the three currently active Cantons of Northwest Ohio.

While the Barony occationally hosts a Kingdom level event, events in the Barony are primarily held at the Canton level. The events currently hosted by the Cantons are:

• Baron Wars - A very large Kingdom War Practice held by the Marche of the Marshes in May, where the troops of Red Spears must defend against incursions from our Cousins to the North, (The Barony of Roaring Wastes - Detroit Metro area).
  
  
• Pounce - A medium to small event hosted by the Canton of Catteden in September where, among other things, the Baronial Heavy Championship is typically held.
  
  
• Yule Feast - A holiday themed event hosted by the Canton of Hróðgeirsfjörðr in December where typically the Baronial A&S and Rapier Championships are held.
