Armored Combat Activities - Friday
Marshal in Charge -
The torchlight tourney is still in the works, but it will begin on the ball field after dusk.
Armored Combat Activities - Saturday
This is a standard field battle which is to be fought to the last man.
Field Battle 2
Each side will have a King and with the King will be a non combatant that will bear a banner. The banner carrier must be with the King at all times with the banner fully displayed. Victory condition is to kill the enemy King (Regicide).
Field Battle 3
This is a standard field battle in which we will have combat archery and siege. This will be fought to the last man.
Battle of Rome
This is similar to a great wall battle but the layout is broken. There will be combat archery and siege, so the walls are either double stacked or single stacked. Only siege may fight over a double stacked entry. The fight will be over control of the entrance. In the actual battle, there
will be five entrances. For purposes of the practice, we will fight over 2 openings. These will be unlimited resurrection battles, time limit to be determined. CA and Siege are allowed in this battle. Gleaning is allowed.
Bridge Battle
This year at Pennsic, we will be fighting for control of the center of 5 bridges. Due to size constraints and number of soldiers for practices, we will be using 2 bridges, one of each size. The bridges are to be 30' apart with 27' and 18' opening. Length of the bridges is to be 45'. The battle will be fought a few times using unlimited resurrections, time limit to be determined. CA is allowed for this battle.
Diagrams of haybale layout.
Simulated Woods Battle
Bales of hay will be used to mark where trees are located at. No one may fight over the trees. Each side will have only one unit (5-8 soldiers) which can run. The rest can only walk (Fat man walking speed max). There will be two banners that will be fought over. This will be unlimited resurrection battles, time limit to be determined. CA but not siege is allowed. Gleaning is also allowed.
Marshal in Charge -
- Inspections and authorizations will start at 10am
- Kingdom War Practice
- Battle of Thermopylae - A narrow pass battle with one side consisting of all Knights and the opposing side everyone else. Everyone else may rez; the Knights may not.
- And we have other plans to keep you fighting for as long as you can stand!
If you have questions or would like to help marshal one of the battles, please contact the marshal in charge.
Once again this year we are limiting the parking at the hunting lodge by the battle field. This allows everyone the opportunity to unload and leaves the area free for any emergency vehicles needing access to the fighting area. Your cooperation is appreciated.
Waterbearing and Courtesy Corps
We are always in need of waterbearers and folks to help with courtesy corps. Keeping fighters (and spectators) properly hydrated is important to keeping the Midrealm Army strong. Plus, waterbearing allows you a front row seat to the action! Gentles interested in waterbearing or courtesy corps are encouraged to contact for further information.
