• How does one keep bees in the known world and what bees can do for your garden and herbs?

• Aside from being a line in an old song that predates Simon and Garfunkel, these four herbs have another thing in common: they all grow wonderfully in a hanging basket or small container on your deck or patio. Many herbs lend themselves to container planting, while others fail to thrive.
  
  This class will discuss the kinds of herbs that lend themselves to container planting, and how to select, plant, and tend your favorites. After the explanation and/or demonstration, participants can opt for a field trip to Flowerland. This is a garden center half a mile away from the site, where they can put their new knowledge to practical application by selecting herbs and a container. Assembly will be done back at the site. Potting medium and Rootblast fertilizer will be provided for up to ten hanging baskets or similarly sized containers. No fee.
