Rivenstar: Too old to be
trusted, or too young to take seriously?
There is a saying that was once popular among the younger
set, claiming one should "Never trust anyone over 30."
And it is true that the barony was founded sometime around
1974, making us more than old enough to vote, drink, and
generally cause mayhem without having to answer to our
mothers.
However, it is also true that we haven't had all that many
changes in our roster of baronial officers over the years.
At Christmas Court 2009, for example, the Barony of
Rivenstar welcomed Lady Giuliana Forniciari to serve as only
the third exchequer in our entire history. If we were
a typical group anywhere else in the Known World, that would
mean we couldn't be more than say, nine or ten years old -
still young enough to send to our rooms without supper.
What say you, good readers? Is Rivenstar an old
geezer, or a baby? Discuss.
Also, the barony's deepest thanks to THL Angelina Tracy
for twenty years of dedicated service and scrupulous
bookkeeping. Hoobah!

Dance.
Old
updates
(January
22, 2007) Thanks to a
heroic undertaking by Lord Janusz, the listing of Baronial awards is now
much more complete than it has been in years. While the work to fill in
gaps in our history still continues, what we have now is a giant step
forward. Hoobah to Janusz!
(April
