All Rivenstar activities are open to the public. You do not need an SCA membership to participate. Please check the master schedule to verify times and locations before attending. The times and locations listed below are only general and do not include holidays, adjustments for inclimante weather, or changes in schedule.

Archery & Thrown Weapons Practice

Only available durring warm weather conditions, the Rivenstar archery & throw weapons practice is the place to be if you're interested in historical forms of marksmanship. Typically, participants use bows, crossbows, throwing knives, and throwing axes. Limited loaner gear is available.

Baronial Business Meetings

Days: M | Time: 8:00pm | Location: Purdue's Stewart Center

Rivenstar's baronial business meetings are one of the best places to find information about upcoming events, baronial activities, and other SCA related information. Each meeting includes the Rivenstar officer's updates, the baronial populace updates, and the societal updates. This is one of the best activities for newcomers to attend, as it will help you get plugged into the activities you're most interested in and help you meet the officer's in charge.

Equestrian Practice

Held from spring through autum, the Rivenstar equestrian practice is one of the best ways to start riding as part of the Middle Kingdom. Because all practices are held outdoors and safety risks to both horses and riders are higher, please call or email Professor Pieter van Doorn before attending.

Fighter Practice

Days: W | Time: 8:00pm | Location: Purdue's ROTC Armory

For over thirty years, Rivenstar has held fighter practice at the ROTC Armory. Durring the summer, this practice is moved to the nearby Slayter Center, weather permitting, at 6:00pm. Both rapier and heavy fighting are available. Newcomers are highly welcomed, but in order to participate, you should wear athletic shoes, long pants, and long socks. Additionally, males will need to bring a sports cup. Loaner gear is available.

Madrigal Singer's Rehearsal

The Rivenstar Madrigal Siners are a local choir that have performed across the Midrealm. Everyone is welcome to participate.
