| Rose Tournament Format |
| Each Rose will select their customary five representatives - |
| |
one fencer, one chivalry, three unbelts. |
| The Roses are welcome to select some or all of their combattants |
| |
ahead of time. |
| On the day of the event, before the tournament, all those fighters not |
| |
yet chosen will have the opportunity to display their honor and prowess on the field in a pick-up fighting format for the viewing pleasure of the Roses. The Roses may then make their final choices. |
| |
| Double Elimination between Rose Teams. |
| Each Rose Team consists of one member of the chivalry, one fencer, |
| |
and three unbelts. |
| Each bout will consist of five passes - |
| |
A pass between opposing Rose's chivalry, followed by three unbelt passes, ending with the fencing pass. |
| The victor will be the Rose whose team has the greatest number of |
| |
winning passes in the bout. |
| Roses may pair off their unbelts any way they wish. |
| |
Our suggestion: the lower-ranking Rose will present an unbelt. |
| |
In response, the higher-ranking Rose will present an unbelt. Alternate the remaining two unbelt passes. |
| In the case a Rose team has fewer than five, the missing members will |
| |
count as lost passes. |
