From the RUM Chancellor

Greetings unto the populace of the magnificent Middle Kingdom from Baroness Sarafina Sinclair, OL, Regent of the Royal University of the MidRealm.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my predecessor, Duchess Kateryn Bronwen of Gloucester, for her hard work of manning the helm of the University. I strive to continue the great work of those who have served before me and thank Their Royal Majesties Runa and Eikbrandr for the opportunity to step up as chancellor.

I am soliciting bids for the next two University events. Ideally, the next RUM will be held in February or March 2010 and the following RUM will be held in October 2010. All of the information, wants, and needs for RUM events can be found at the MidRealm website at http://midrealm.org/rum/host.html.

RUM is not just an arts and sciences event; it is the one event in our fair kingdom that touches upon all the facets of what we do in the Society. It is the premier institution for learning in the kingdom; a venue for the free exchange of ideas and best practices. I charge you to attend the next RUM session and bring someone or two or three with you. Together, we will grow, learn, and inspire.
