About the name "Aonach na Naoi n-Duileach"

From Arlyn Longford, Acting Seneschal of the proto-incipient Shire of Aonach na Naoi n-Duileach:

The name Aonach na Naoi n-Duileach is literally translated to: "The gathering of the nine expectations." When we formed the new group we listed things that we wanted to accomplish within the group and the Society and narrowed it down to nine goals: Community, Communication, Research, Authenticity, Study, Companionship, Growth, Sharing of Knowledge & Skills, and finally Activity.

The pronunciation of the name is:

Aonach
Ah-oh-nah

na Naoi
na-noy

n-Duileach
nd-WILL-yah

It's actually easy and rolls of the tongue nicely with a little practice. Our thanks to Baron Hamish MacLeod for the correct Scottish spelling and grammar.
