Dr. Henry Best A practical introduction to sorcery, or divination by sortilege, taught by a professional sorcerer. We will demonstrate and compare sorcerous methods from several times and places in period. Discussion will include its battlefield use by Julius Caesar and exciting new research on a dice divination system used by the Catholic church.     55 minutes  
How to Double Your Event Attendance with Youth Activites (we have cookies)

Celts in the medieval era--An exploration of two Celtic codes of law addressing personal relationships, households (both common and royal) and family life. This will include topics such as marriage, divorce and other personal relationships and the mandated members of a royal retinue.   Class will include topics such as plural marriage, relationships, divorce, cohabitation, etc. Not an adults only class but some parents may consider certain topics unsuitable for young children. 55 minutes

Baroness Verena Entenwirth A look at the history of drinks, especially those in the between 3rd-16th centuries and how they affected society and culture. Class will include samples (and recipes) of the most common drinks found in the Middle Ages (and in the SCA). No instruction on brewing provided.

Those who have entered/judges in the past two years are also invited to share their experiences. Baroness Verena Entenwirth A pictorial exploration of European clothing from the 3rd through the 16th century. This is a broad survey of fashion specifically aimed at those new to the SCA. Tinker This course is for folks new to the SCA and on a limited budget. Discussions include such topics as how to acquire feast gear, basic costumes and jewelry, how to disguise a modern campsite and more. Learn about SCA barter systems and how to literally sing for your supper! Become a Super SCA Shopper at thrift stores, rummage sales and grandma's attic!
