"Learn to Navigate to Your Next Event --- Reading a Map"
Lord Aiden Alpin of Dunkeld
Learn the basic ways to find your route on a map, as well as how to know you're on the right route without going 100 miles out of the way! Lord Aiden Alpin of Dunkeld is currently seneschal of the Barony of Red Spears as well as autocrat of this RUM session. His experience with maps comes from teaching map reading in the Military.

Her experience publishing SCA materials is extensive, notably she was the editor of the regional newsletter The Gauntlet and the award winning SCAndelcrag, baronial newsletter of Andelcrag.

This class will focus primarily on the issues of good vs bad site layout/colors/etc., the contacts required at Kingdom, and the legalities of disclaimers, release of information, etc. Christina Noëlle has been in the SCA just one year but has extensive experience in the modern world of computers. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Technology from Purdue University has been creating websites on either a personal, volunteer, or paid basis since about 1996. Christina is currently webminister for the Incipient Shire of Stonecroft.
"Merchant Liaison 101"

You find yourself the merchant liaison for your group's next event. Your only related experience is buying stuff from merchants. How do you get yourself and the marketplace organized efficiently and effectively for both the merchants and your event guests? This session will help show some of the considerations that need to be taken when organizing the marketplace for your event. There will be a handout with a sample merchant contract, and a checklist of things to do. Mistress Siobhan O'Neill (CL,CP) has organized the marketplace at the St. Valentine's Day Massacre in Three Hills for ten years, has run an SCA business with her husband for eleven years, and has patronized SCA merchants for almost twenty-nine years.
