"Youth Combat"

This will be a two hour class that will focus on some of the basics of youth combat in the Middle Kingdom. Youth should come equipped if possible. "

Basic Spear - 2hrs

This will be a practical application class in how to be an effective shield fighter in melee situations. Please be in armor if possible and bring a complete weapons mix including a shield.

Making Melee and Melee practice FUN, Safe and Cool!!

A set of melee drills focused on the use of complete units including shield lines

Battlefield Awareness
Duchess Elina of Beckenham
A class designed to aid in the development of an awareness of how to read a battlefield before and during a battle. An improvised sand table will be used as a part of the class. Attendees should come in equipment if possible to aid in drills.

Being a Shieldman

Shieldman in melee, how to kill more than those upity spear guys and have more fun. Basic techniques for the shieldman in and out of the shieldwall focused on mutual support, basic movement and killing the other side.

Flanker / light troops / run and gun - The joy of being not only faster and better looking than the rest but effective against them

This class will be a practical application class on the tactics and techniques of fast moving troops that work the flanks of large melees or operate as independant units. Bring a full kit and be ready to move.

Army Communication

How to give and understand a 5-paragraph order in the Middle Kingdom Army, battlefield communications, and the practical application of getting and understanding "the word".

Missle Weapons
Various Instructors
How to be dangerous at 20ft and 60ft in SCA Combat. Use of Combat Archery and Thrown weapons will be covered. Attendees should be armored and anticipate being shot at and have things thrown at them.
