Red Dragon 2011


We are happy to announce the return of the format we introduced at this event last year! Fighting all day on one of the biggest list fields of any tournament event in the kingdom! All fighters may expect SIX HOURS of fighting! At the end of the day, if you haven’t fought enough, it’s because you kept yourself off the field!


We will have 4 list fields, each running tournaments, pick-up fighting, and small melees throughout the day. The area around the White and Gold lists will be reserved for period day-camps. Please keep that area free of visibly modern belongings.

The list field will open for inspections and authorizations. These services will remain available, as marshal availability allows, throughout the day.

Gold List – Middle Marches Baronial Heavy Weapons Championship

  • Participants MUST be residents of Middles Marches and be willing/capable of attending the melee events, including Pennsic War, during the 2012 war season

  • Full gauntlets and a six foot spear required (some spears may be available)

  • 2 years or less since initial authorization, no tournament wins, and no KINGDOM fighting awards

  • Single elimination tournament. There is no sign up sheet; each attending member of the chivalry will receive two tokens to hand out to unbelts throughout the day. Unbelts with a token may report to Sir Guido to gain entry to the tournament.

  • The terms of each fight will be determined by the whims of the haunted pumpkin! Bring Full Gauntlets and a Sense of Humor!

Barrier Fighting

- Sir Kieran will be hosting a barrier

* This schedule is subject to change in the case of adverse weather. If it is merely a driving rain, we WILL remain outdoors – so come prepared if it is wet that day. If we are truly flooded out, or if there is lightning, we will be moving indoors to a smaller space. The indoor schedule will consist of bear pits and Atlantian Speed tourneys.
