Dead Languages Club

Dead Languages Club are lessons in archaic English, Latin, Middle English-etc-How to read some of the poems, prose, legal documents etc. We have in the past
chosen a specific year-ie 1400 and worked with enough slot machine Latin to get an Englishman to Rome. We then reversed the tables-Studied Middle English so a Pilgrim to Canterbury would be able to get around. We are currently working with the English of Mallory-Le Morte D'Artur in the Caxtonian English 1470's-1500. Next topic will be Hall's Commentaries- personal diary of an Early Tudor gad about in London.

Second Wednesdays, 7-9 pm, at Master John’s and Mistress Leanore’s house (John and Ellie Wright), 1626 Marborough Lane, 872-7216, email Leanore
