Sternfeld is very active in animal husbandry, especially in heritage breeds. A short list of some of the animals we currently keep: chickens, ducks, geese, and pigs.

We also have many who garden, preserve foods, etc.

Abot Johann von Metten is a Laurel in Animal Husbandry and has apprentices who are also avid animal husbandmen.
