Recommend a Member of the Barony for a Baronial Award
Definitions of the awards (as quoted from the
by-laws):

The Order of Sternfeld
(a)
There shall exist in the Barony an Award which the Coronet may grant to such
persons as it sees fit. The Award shall be referred to as the Order of
Sternfeld, hereafter referred to as the Order.
(b) The
Order shall be given to individuals for long and devoted service to the Barony,
such that they shall ever be considered a part of the Barony.
(c)
Recipients of the Order may be styled and announced in precedence as Members of
the Order of Sternfeld.
(d)
Recipients of the Order may bear the Arms of the Barony of Sternfeld without let
or hindrance.
Friends of Sternfeld
(a) There
shall exist in the Barony an Award which the Coronet may grant to such persons
as it sees fit. The Award shall be referred to as the Award of the Friends of
Sternfeld, hereafter referred to as the Award.
(b) The
Award shall be given to individuals not resident in the Barony for great service
and continued friendship to the Barony.
(c)
Recipients of the Award may be styled and announced in precedence as Friends of
Sternfeld.
(d)
Recipients of the Award may bear in canton upon their arms the badge of the
Barony of Sternfeld.
The Order of the Golden Tower
(a) There
shall exist in the Barony an Award which the Coronet may grant to such persons
as it sees fit. The Award shall be referred to as the Order of the Golden Tower,
hereafter referred to as the Order.
(b) The
Order shall be given to individuals for service to the Barony.
(c) Members
of the Order shall recommend to the Coronet those deserving admittance to the
Order by virtue of their service to the Barony.
(d)
Recipients of the Order may be styled and announced in precedence as Members of
the Order of the Golden Tower.
(e)
Recipients of the Order may bear the badge as registered with the Laurel
Sovereign of Arms:
Azure, a tower Or within a bordure Or, mulletty of
four points azure
The Award of the Winged Crescent
(a) There
shall exist in the Barony an Award which the Coronet may grant to such persons
as it sees fit. The Award shall be referred to as the Award of the Winged
Crescent, hereafter referred to as the Award.
(b) The
Award shall be given to individuals for skill in the Arts and Sciences.
(c)
Recipients of the Award may be styled and announced in precedence as Recipients
of the Award of the Winged Crescent.
(d)
Recipients of the Award may bear the badge as registered with the Laurel
Sovereign of Arms:
Azure, mullety of four points,
in cross a crescent, inverted and winged, argent (proposed).
(e) The
Award shall be counted in the order of precedence as equal to the Order of the
Golden Tower.
The Award of the Azure Swan
(a) There
shall exist in the Barony an Award which the Coronet may grant to such persons
as it sees fit. The Award shall be referred to as the Award of the Azure Swan,
hereafter referred to as the Award.
(b) The
Award shall be given to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional courtesy
and grace.
(c)
Recipients of the Award may be styled and announced in precedence as Recipients
of the Award of the Azure Swan.
(d)
Recipients of the Award may bear the badge as registered with the Laurel
Sovereign of Arms.
(e) The
Award shall be counted in the order of precedence as equal to the Order of the
Golden Tower.
The Award of the Nova
(a) There
shall exist in the Barony an Award which the Coronet may grant to such persons
as it sees fit. The Award shall be referred to as the Award of the Nova,
hereafter referred to as the Award.
(b) The
Award shall be given to individuals for individual instances of exceptional
service.
(c)
Recipients of the Award may be styled and announced in precedence as Recipients
of the Award of the Nova.
(d)
Recipients of the Award may bear the badge as registered with the Laurel
Sovereign of Arms:
Gules, a mullet within and
conjoined to five mullets in annulo, the whole within and conjoined to a bordure
Or, semy of mullets of four points azure.
(e) The
Award may be received more than once.
The Order of the Sternfeld
Border Guards
(a) There
shall exist in the Barony an Award which the Coronet may grant to such persons
as it sees fit. The Award shall be referred to as the Order of the Sternfeld
Border Guards, hereafter referred to as the Order.
(b) The
Order shall be given to individuals who have practiced the arts of warfare or of
peace under the banner of the Barony at any inter-kingdom war, battle or raid,
or who have served as a Baronial Champion.
(c)
Recipients of the Order may be styled and announced in precedence as a Sternfeld
Border Guard.
(d)
Recipients of the Order may bear the badge of the Barony, decorated with a
symbol of their art, in Canton upon their Arms or upon a tabard, baldric,
mantle, or other token.
(e) The
Award shall be counted in the order of precedence as equal to the Award of the
Nova.
The Award of the Sternfeld Yeoman
(a) There
shall exist in the Barony an Award which the Coronet may grant to such persons
as it sees fit. The Award shall be referred to as the Award of the Sternfeld
Yeoman, hereafter referred to as the Award.
(b) The
Award shall be given to individuals, resident in the Barony, who have taken up
the study of the arts of warfare or of peace.
(c)
Recipients of the Award may be styled and announced in precedence as a Yeoman of
Sternfeld.
(d)
Recipients of the Award may bear the badge of the Barony in Canton upon their
Arms or upon a tabard, baldric, mantle, or other token.
(e) Any
Yeoman of Sternfeld may request a Baronial Court either to present a new member
of the Barony or have a member recognized as a Yeoman. This may be done at any
official activity of the Barony.
(f) On
the date of adoption, all residents of the Barony who have authorized for combat
(heavy, light, youth), shot archery at an SCA event, or completed an A&S project
(T-tunic, pouch, or better) will be deemed Yeomen.
