Medieval fonts found at

The one specifically used on this site is Goudy Medieval.  It can be downloaded from here.  You will need some sort of software like winzip to unzip it.

Install a Font

After downloading the font-file to an easily accessible folder (the Desktop for instance, or C:\Temp, easy enough to remember)
open up your Windows\Fonts folder.
Either: Start, Settings, Control Panel, Fonts
Or: holding down the Windows key (the one between Ctrl and Alt), press F for find (files and folders), type in fonts, the moment C:\Windows\Fonts appears you click on it and it opens up.
You now have 2 options
  1. The standard but a little complicated way:
Click File, choose Install New Font
And then find your way to the location of your freshly downloaded, and uncompressed font.
    OR
  2. Hold down the control key, click on the font-file with your left mouse button and drag it over into the open Fonts folder without letting go of the mouse button. Release the mouse button and the font is installed and should now appear in its alphabetically correct place.

You can use it straightaway in your word-processing. But you may have to restart your computer to be able to see it in web-pages.
