The Society of Creative Anachronism is an international educational organization devoted to the study of pre - seventeenth century western culture. It concentrates on the middle ages and renaissance and members work to recreate the arts and skills of this era. What is RSL? At the 2003 Tournament of the Rose, our Shire was awarded the Sapphire Light, given "to those who exhibit courtesy, grace and honor to people of all ranks, and exemplifies what it means to be the embodiment of the dream.".
