Siege of Talonval Feast

Saturday, June 28th, after court and before the revels, around 6pm

$8 seated feast or $6 off board (bring your own plate)

Menu

Water, lemon water and mint or rose water served throughout
On the table
Bread (Brot)
Herbed Cheese (Krautkäse)
Pickled Vegetables (Ein condimentlin)
Candied Ginger

1st Course (erster Kurs)
Sausages (Bratwurst)
Mustard (senf)
Blaukraut - Braised Red Cabbage (Red cabbage, vinegar, a touch of sugar)
Spinach/Cheese Tarts (Geneveses Torte)
poached pears in wine

2nd Course (zweiter Kurs):
Zwiebelkuchen - Onion Quiche (Eggs, onions, and milk)
Cressee - a pasta with cheese done in a checkerboard fashion
Honey Glazed Fire Roasted Rosemary Chicken
Grene Pesen (green peas in chicken broth, I can do a small batch in vegetable broth)
Cinnamon Tart (Eine Zimttorte)

3rd Course (dritter Kurs):
Saurbratin - Braised Pickled Beef (Roast Beef and Gravy)
Spaetzel - German Pasta (Egg, flour, salt, and butter)
Leeks in Cream
Fried apples
