Dalkrvor takes SCA loaner clothes from her own wardrobe to the home of Richard Barniak (Rykard) and Tamme Barniak (Leigh) and explains the basics of the SCA to their family- the first meetingis held.

Rykard, Leigh and Morgan Barniak, Fawn Smith and Becky Holland attend Winter Revel in the Canton of Three Walls accompanied by Lord Dalkrvor. On their own intuition the Barnial family volunteered to serve feast.

Rykard and Leigh go with Lord Dalkrvor to the heavy weapons fight practice held in the Canton of Vannspring. Rykard puts on loaner armour for the first time, and begins his training under the instruction of Lord Dalkrvor, Sir Garth of the Crags, and Sir Felix the Just of Ramsey.
Rykard participates in the weekly "Coke Tournament", an honor for a begining fighter on his first day! However, he must yeild the match, as when his knee was taken, he could not kneel with the too small knee armour.

Dalkrvor receives the new group packet from the Seneschal for New Groups.

The Barniak's rented home burns to the ground. Their daughter Morgan was home when it happened and got out safely with two dogs. Without renter's insurance, they lost everything. Rykard was at a Three Walls meeting when he found out. Several members of the SCA helped out including Dalkrvor and Faelan (John Thrasher).

"The Hastings Banner published a story about the Barniak's fire, in it mentioning the Society for Creative Anachronism giving help and donations.

Second meeting held at Dalkrvor's house, attended by Rykard, Leigh, and Faelan. Web sites of medieval burruogh place names were reviewed, and the top three names for consideration were; Mousehole, Templemede, and Painswyck. Officers positions were chosen as; Seneschal- Rykard, Herald- Faelan, Mistress of Arts and Sciences- Leigh, Group Knight Marshal in Training and Chronicler- Dalkrvor.

A presentation to Baron Thorfinn Grimkelsson and Baroness Brighid the Agless is made at Baronial Border Wars, a basket containing homemade soaps and bathsalts (by Leigh), a wood-burned box and pouch (by Dalkrvor), both containing gold coin, raspberry cordial and white grape cordial (by Faelan) and a drakkar (viking ship) salt cellar.
Lord Dalkrvor is named the Baronial Seneschal for Andelcrag at the event.

Rykard, Faelan, and Dalkrvor finally sign the paperwork to make Templemede an official Canton during an informal meeting around Dalkrvor's dining room table.

The Havoc in Hastings event is held by Three Walls. King Pieter and Queen Nan were presented with a basket containing four wood burned plates (Dalkrvor), homemade soap (Leigh), cherry mede (Rykard), and key limes for their good health. A similar basket was presented to the Baron and Baroness of Andelcrag.
Rykard and Faelan authorized in heavy weapons, thereby tripling Templemede's heavy weapons combat army.
This weekend, Michael Popa also joined the group and attended his first event, while dozens of Hastings citizens signed up for more information about the SCA at the newcomers table manned by the Barniak family.

Dalkrvor, Rykard and Leigh, Becky and Fawn, Michael, and Faelan attend "What in Sam Hain" at Bertha Brock Park in Three Walls. Lord Dalkrvor stepped on the field but was met with heavy opposition! Faelan also met opposition in the form of dish- pan hands! Rykard and Leigh along with Becky helped to serve feast, which was from all accounts I heard, wonderfull!

Populace meeting held at the home of Rykard and Leigh, at which time all had the pleasure of welcoming Ted Casarez and his daughter to the fold!
A vote was held and passed to do the lunch tavern at Twelth Fight .
