Meetings held this past reporting period? (dates & times). All Meetings held at 1-3pm with from 4-9 people at most meetings Canton population has varied from 6-12 people throughtout the year with a current population of 12 28 January 25 February 30 March 29 April May 27 24 June 29 July 26 August 30 September 4 November 25 November 29 December 2. Andelcrag Althing in Ionia MI, 5 May 2007 hosted at Bertha Brock Park Hastings Summer Fest Parade 25 August as an attempt to promote Havoc in Hastings this was perhaps one of the most enjoyable events we hed this past year. Other groups were invited however, none appeared. We hope to get the help of the kind folks in Rimsholt, Three Walls, and Three Hills next year to joiin us and maybe have a demo as well. Havoc in Hastings this year 31 August-3 September this was a fantastic event, it ran smoothly, it nearly made money and a good time was had by most, however there were incidence that happened here that led to officer changes. 3. Does your group have a local newsletter? It's name? We do not have a local newsletter, but we have tried. 6. Has your group received any media coverage? We received radio coverage during the parade we were a part of on WBCH. This was unknown to me until literally moments before I wrote this. We received media coverage in the form of an interview on WLHT radio with a Saturday Morning DJ to help promote Havoc in Hastings. We were blindsided by the request as it came to us the day before the event and we were unable to let the Kingdom Media Relations Officer know before hand. 7. Future plans for your group? I would like to grow this group into a solid group covering south-central lower Michigan. I would like to actually have the group officers within the group's area of operations, and we would like as a whole to fully take over the Havoc in Hastings event. We have done it the past two years with minimal help from our Sponsoring Group, Three Walls. We hope to make full status with continued growth within 5 years, hopefully sooner. 8. In your honest, objective opinion, what is good about your group? Not so good? What problems are you as a seneschal noticing? How might these be remedied? This is a good solid group, with a lot of heart and desire to work for the good of the SCA. As with most groups we have had our political problems, The biggest problem as Seneschal I am noticing at this time, is reporting. I know as an incipient group we need to report on time, and as far as I know we are, but I have not received reports from the other officers. I have asked repeatedly for reports to be sent in on time if not early, but I also know this is an issue at the Baronial level where I also hold an office. Our other problem seems to be recruitment, as we only have a couple of members that actually live in our base of operations recruitment this has been an issue. However, we are working on the city of Hastings to do more for and with us to promote the SCA in the area. The local mundane populace do come to Havoc in Hastings which is hosted in a local historic park, and hopefully we will draw in more people. I have thought of putting an ad in the newspaper announcing when our meetings were, abut have yet to contact Kingdom Media Relations about this. 9. Comments: When Faelan macEogain mhic Mael-Duin had to move for work and was unable to continue as Seneschal I was sad to see a friend move, but glad that I would have the opportunity to help foster this group.
