So Welcome to the SCA!!

The SCA is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. Our "Known World" consists of 19 kingdoms, with over 30,000 members residing in countries around the world. Members, dressed in clothing of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, attend events which may feature tournaments, arts exhibits, classes, workshops, dancing, feasts, and more. Our "royalty" hold courts at which they recognize and honor members for their contributions to the group.

The Barony of White Waters is the local group name for the greater South Bend area and surrounding areas; specifically, Saint Joseph, Elkhart, Lagrange, and Marshall Counties of Indiana. We are part of the Constellation Region which is the whole of Indiana, and Part of the Middle Kingdom which covers USA: Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Scott County in Iowa, Kentucky (except the southwest counties).
Canada: Essex County in Ontario

A big part of attending an SCA event means wearing the kind of clothes people wore before the 17th century. Everyone wearing garb lends to the feel of an event as well. If you have no garb of your own, but still wish to come to an event look for the gold key after you pass through troll, or ask the friendly volunteers where you can find it.
